Ok ladies ,(and gentleman) It’s that dreaded time of year again for the lazy girls like me that don’t have a regular excercise routine and eats like a truck driver most of the time . It is swimsuit season… and that means exposing more of yourself in public than some of us are ready for . I have always been lucky in the sense that I had a fast metabolism and could eat like a teenage boy if I wanted and keep my figure but as I get older I’m not as lucky . Don’t get me wrong I’m not body shaming myself I’m simply admitting I could shed a few winter pounds and tone up what once used to be flat . Being only 4 foot 9 even the slightest weight gain is noticable on me . My question to you guys is what is your go to method to loose a few pounds ? There are so many fad diets that I don’t believe in and the lingo can get confusing for a amature. Whish is better , low carb ? high protein? high fat no sugar ? there are so many options I’m wondering what has worked for others (and not the spokesman for a commercial diet company) . We do have a home gym with a treadmill and weights that I will be torturing myself with and doing some yoga . I have basically a plasitc back due to scoliosis surgery so I can’t get to high impact but I’ll do my best . I have been loving warm green tea in the mornings and drowning myself in water throughout the day and then the guilty pleasure that includes barley and hops of course isn’t the most healthy or slimming but hey, a girl has her vices ! Any comments or suggestions on some things that have worked for you would be appreciated . And all of you ladies standing in that dressing room trying on the bathing suits … don’t worry there are others out there with a few stretch marks from the child rearing days and most of us need a little push up here and there but we are all still beautiful and should be proud of our bodies no matter the shape or size . and remember my moto , If you can’t loose it , TAN IT !
